American Idol Season 8 appoint the new “American Idol”. We have Kris Allen as our new American Idol for 2009.

According to DialIdol.com, slightly less than 100 million votes were cast for both Adam Lambert and Kris Allen. Only a few votes separated the two.

It was a tight fight night for the Top 2 Finalist. Adam Lambert has always been the crowd and judges bet, while Kris Allen start to top the competition. But it is a contest, there should only be one American Idol for Season8, and that is Kris Allen. Judges comment to Kris Allen:

Simon “Watching you tonight on that stage has been incredible.”
Paula “You deserve where you are in that spotlight.”
Randy “You’ve done amazing in this competition.”
Kara “You are a compelling artist.”
